Peer Review Process

G.A.R.B.A.G.E. employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality and integrity.

Review Criteria

  • Originality: Does the work present novel ideas or approaches?
  • Methodology: Are the methods appropriate and well-described?
  • Significance: Does the research contribute meaningfully to the field?
  • Clarity: Is the writing clear and well-organized?
  • Validity: Are the conclusions supported by the data?

Reviewer Guidelines

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Complete reviews within 3 weeks of acceptance
  • Maintain confidentiality of all manuscript information
  • Declare any conflicts of interest
  • Provide constructive, specific feedback
  • Avoid personal criticism of authors

Editorial Decisions

After peer review, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept: Manuscript is accepted as-is
  • Minor Revision: Small changes needed before acceptance
  • Major Revision: Significant changes required
  • Reject: Manuscript does not meet publication criteria

Appeals Process

Authors who disagree with editorial decisions may submit an appeal within 30 days. Appeals should include a detailed response to reviewer comments and explain why the decision should be reconsidered.
