Ethical Standards
G.A.R.B.A.G.E. is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Author Responsibilities
- Ensure original work with proper attribution
- Avoid plagiarism in all forms
- Disclose all conflicts of interest
- Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted material
- Ensure accuracy of data and findings
Research Ethics
Human Subjects
Research involving human subjects must:
- Include ethics committee approval
- Obtain informed consent from participants
- Protect participant privacy and confidentiality
- Minimize harm and maximize benefits
Animal Research
Research involving animals must:
- Include institutional animal care committee approval
- Follow the 3Rs principle (Replace, Reduce, Refine)
- Minimize suffering and use appropriate anesthesia
Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are screened for plagiarism using specialized software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be rejected immediately.
Authors found to have committed plagiarism may be banned from future submissions to G.A.R.B.A.G.E.
Corrections and Retractions
G.A.R.B.A.G.E. is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scientific record:
- Errata will be published for minor errors
- Corrigenda will address significant errors by authors
- Retractions will be issued for fraudulent or unreliable research
